I’m the school owner and director of The Martial Arts Method
How long have you been involved with martial arts?
I have been training and teaching consistently since 2008, I did a bit of martial arts when I was 7 years old but we moved out of the area.
What is your favourite martial arts move?
My favourite combination is back fist, sidekick, it’s simple but effective.
Your biggest achievement in martial arts so far?
Achieving my third dan belt grade in 2021.
Why did you start The Martial Arts Method?
I wanted to build a school that resonated with my own values, that offers value to our members in terms of what we deliver as teachers and the experience they get from being part of the TMAM community.

Lazo Lukic
What is your role at TMAM?
I’m the Chief Instructor, so I teach the majority of the sessions.
How long have you been involved with martial arts?
I started by watching my son when he joined in 2019, then got involved myself, and loved it so much that I decided to start teaching.
What is your favourite martial arts move?
It’s hard to choose as I love mixing things up and trying new things.
Your biggest achievement in martial arts so far?
My son achieving his black belt in 2023 and achieving my red-black belt.

Ami-Jane Beal
What is your role at TMAM?
I’m the Designated Welfare Officer in charge of safeguarding, and I teach the TMAM Minis toddler and preschooler sessions.
How long have you been involved with martial arts?
I have been training on and off since 2018, babies and the pandemic set my martial arts journey back a bit.
Your biggest achievement in martial arts so far?
Achieving my brown belt in June 2024.
